Waqar Younis seems to be the next coach of Pakistan cricket team, Ijaz Butt has said that they will announce the new coach within the week, he also said that internationals coaches are also in the contention for the coaching job but Waqar Younis seems to be the favorite for this job.
Waqar Younis was appointed as Pakistan bowling coach in Australia tour where Pakistan didn’t even win a single game, he was also the assistant coach of Pakistan in 2006-07.
PCB hasn’t declared end of Intikhab's tenure but it is obvious that they are looking for a new coach. Greg Chappell already said no to this job and other international coaches are also afraid to come there due to security reasons so Waqar Younis are on the No.1 spot for the new coach of Pakistan.
After the Australia tour Intikhab was very determent to stay as the coach of Pakistan team but some serious pressure from every where made PCB to change the Pakistan coach, Ijaz Ahmad was the make shift coach in the two T20 matches against England but now PCB will officially announce the new coach within a week.
