Abdul Razzaq played a lightening innings of 46 notout to steal victory from England and level the series 1-1 in the 2nd Twenty20 match in Dubai. At 78 for 5 the game was certainly in England’s favor but Abdul Razzaq destroyed England bowling to grab their 1st win in 11 international matches
When Abdul Razzaq came into the ground there was no time to settle so he choose his natural way of playing which was aggressive and its pay off, he hit 2 huge sixes to Paul Collingwood in his first over and give some thing to cheer to his fans, after this he produce another big six in the next over to Luke Wright and turned the game into a thriller.
44 from last 5 overs definitely was a different task but Abdul Razzaq and Fawad Alam take Pakistan home, Fawad Alam scores 13 runs of Stuart Broad’s over and turned the game into Pakistan side however he was caught out later in the mid wicket.
Action came to last 2 overs where 18 runs were needed and Paul Collingwood gave the ball to debutant star Ajmal Shahzad who took 2 wickets in his debut 1st over. Abdul Razzaq hit his forth huge six into long-off stands and on the last ball of 19th over he finishes a magic game with another huge six and gave Pakistan its first win in 11 international matches. Game was ended with 1 over remaining and 4 wickets in the bag.
What a match that was, Pakistan really showed the world that they are still the champions and best in the business.
Chasing 149 Pakistan didn’t look good at all in the start, debutant Ajmal Shahzad bowled the 1st over for England and he was slapped for a boundary straight over his head by Imran Nazir but 2 balls later he took his revenge when Imran Nazir (4) came down to the pitch trying to hit his over mid-on but he only managed a top edge which was taken cleanly by the third man.
Last ball of the over was the nightmare for Pakistan as
England v Pakistan, 2nd Twenty20, Dubai
Abdul Razzaq hit 5 sixes to help Pakistan level the series 1-1
Shahzad took his second wicket of Imran Farhat (0) who played a loose pull shot which was taken at mid-on by Stuart Broad, 4 for 2 definitely not the start which Pakistan wanted, all eyes were set on Shoaib Malik and Umar Akmal to take Pakistan home, they started well, snatching 36 runs in 5 overs.
Shoaib Malik was given out stump but he didn’t looked happy about his on the total of 40, sooner BOOM BOOM and Akmal also made their way back to the pavilion. 78 for 5 in 13 overs that was the time when Abdul Razzaq spread the magic and won the game for Pakistan.
England innings was also pumped by one man Kevin Pietersen who played the best knock after his comeback, he smashes Pakistan bowlers all over the place and hit 3 sixes and 4 fours for his 62 of just 40 balls, opener Trott also played a good hand of 39 to help England put 148 on the board, on that time target of 149 was looking enough for England.
Pakistan 149 for 6 (Razzaq 46*, Swann 3-14) beat England 148 for 6 (Pietersen 62) by 4 wickets
