At last in the last match of the 5 match ODI series we see some kind of fight and effort from Pakistan team but they couldn’t stop Michael Hussey to seals the 5-0 whitewash for Australia. Perth was absolutely rocking in this match, defending a low total Pakistan captain and team put their best and turned the match into a thriller but Michael Hussey takes Australia home.

Chasing 213 the only chance for the Pakistan was to bowl Australia out but Pakistan bowlers especially Rana and Afridi restricted them to the grab an easy win but in the end Pakistan’s 212 proved not enough.

Mohammad Asif and Rana Naveed gave Pakistan early wickets of Marsh and Haddin, new captain for the match Shahid Afridi was pumped-up for the win and bowls superbly. His spell with Shoaib Malik bring them back in the match which was looking very much one sided at one time.Ponting played the captains innings of 55 which lead the way to 5-0 clean sweep over Pakistan which was followed by superb professional performance from Michael Hussey who finish the game for Australia. Shahid Afridi took the wickets of Cameron White (13) and Hopes (6) on crucial time. Saeed Ajmad wasn’t playing in that match so Afridi gave to ball to Shoaib Malik who also bowls superbly and take the wickets of Ponting and Voges. The match went on till the last over where Australia needed only 3 runs and Rao Iftikhar got the wicket of Nathan Hauritz on the 1st ball of the last over which brings the bowling start Ryan Harris on the crease who hit Rao Iftikhar over the top on the leg side and got 2 runs, now only 1 required so Shahid Afridi brings all fielders up but Rao Iftikhar bowl a waste high no ball which was given after the ball reached the Afridi hands who caught it on the mid off.

Michael Hussey played beautifully under pressure and does the finishing work for which he is know for, in the last batting power play Shahid Afridi was caught on the camera doing some biting to the cricket ball, he could be in trouble with this later.

Earlier Australian bowlers set the tune for the victory, Mitchell Johnson and Ryan Harris bowls a desastres opening spell of fast bowling for Pakistan. Both the openers Salman Butt and Khalid Latif got out on duck and star of the day with bowl Clint McKay got the wicket of crucial Younis khan (3) on 16.

Australia 8 for 214 (Ponting 55, Hussey 40*) beat Pakistan 212 (Umar Akmal 67, Fawad Alam 63, McKay 4-35, Harris 3-44) by two wickets
3 for 16 was looking like another sad story for Pakistan but their former skipper Shoaib Malik and young Umar Akmal played solidly and defensively against the superb bowling from Australia, at one time run rate was only just over 1 run per over when both the batsmen started to take quick singles and tries to put some pressure back on to the Australian bowlers. Shoaib Malik (36) played a much needed innings for Pakistan and his running between the wickets with Umar Akmal was just brilliant and quick, they had their chances but eventually Shoaib Malik runout courtesy of superb athleticism from Mitchell Johnson who ran the whole pitch and then hit the ball to the stumps and the story end’s for Malik.

Umar Akmal looked very determent throughout his whole innings and so was Fawad Alam who also played a timely good innings which was a bit surprising as well because he was scoring at almost run a ball and proves every one wrong that he is just a blocker and a maneuver of the cricket ball. Both batsmen put a good partnership for Pakistan which was supposed to end by Shahid Afridi with some BOOM BOOM stuff but he was failed like most of the times. Rana Naveed also got out without hitting and big one so in total 50 overe Pakistan managed to score 212 which looked impossible at the beginning.

This ODI series also ends up in the form of clean sweep for Pakistan and this could be the right time for making crucial changes in the side for better future.
