Australian put an all-round show in the 2nd ODI to take 2-0 lead in the series. Batting, fielding and bowling, all were quite out standing as they beat Pakistani easily in 2nd ODI by 140 runs.
It was Pakistani batting who again failed to produce any king of commitment to a chasebale target. Even though bowling from Australia were quite superb as the pace attack completely destroy the Pakistani batting line up. Mohammad Yousuf tried to put any kind of resistance against the Aussies but was not enough.
After bowling well Pakistani batting completely failed against the fast bowlers and loss their 5 wickets for just 42, Shahid Afiri tried to put a BOOM BOOM show but as quite often he fails. Salman Butt (2) was the 1st man to go; he nicked the ball to 2nd slip of the bowling of Bolinger. In the same over Younis (0) also got out in same fashion but only difference was the catch, this catch was the one of the bests that you ever see, Cameron White diving cross to Shane Watson and takes one handedly.
Kamran Akmal was runout when things were just started to look good on 32 and after this it was all-over for Pakistan in terms of partnership. Umar Akmal was bowled by Siddle on 0. Shoaib Malik also failed to produce a big innings and played a good looking cut-shot but straight to Ponting who took another great catch.
Fielding was quite outstanding from the Aussies very much unlike the Pakistanis. Shahid Afridi hit Nathan Hauritz for a huge six, it was the time when Australia looked under-pressure against Afridi but his stay on the crease not last for too long as he got out trying to pull Shane Watson but only managed a lolly-pop to Shane Watson who accept it very cleanly.
Mohammad Yousuf played an innings which was lacking aggression, motivation, misson and heart as well. His 58 was nothing more than a record fifty to his record. Pakistani batting failed again to chase a target which is the case for a year almost, they are chasing nothing. Every victory came out batting 1st.
Pakistan v Australia, 2nd ODI, Sydney
Cameron White played a vital innings of 55 to help Australia put 267 in 2nd ODI
Earlier Mohammad Yousuf won the toss and elected to bowl 1st. Shane Watson doesn’t waste his good form and play a firry innings of 69 and a 114 runs opening stand with Shaun Marsh. Pakistani came back into the match by picking up 4 wickets in quick time (Watson, Marsh, Ponting and Clarke).
Australia was cruising towards the 300 at one point but Pakistani spinners especially Shahi Afridi got the Aussies under some pressure. Cameron White (55) the centurion from the last match played another vital innings for Australia which help them to post 267.
Australia will be looking to wind-up the series chapter in the next match. Pakistan will be desperately looking for their 1st win on the tour.
Australia 6 for 267 (Watson 69, White 55, Aamer 3-53) beat Pakistan 127 (Yousuf 58, McKay 3-15) by 140 runs
