The third-IPL auction was held on 19 was held in Mumbai on Tuesday. But this auction was nothing more than a TV Show for the Pakistan players and nation. No player from Pakistan including T20 winning team players-was picked up.

11 players including T20 captain Shahid Khan Afridi and Umar Gull were in the final auction list for the IPL but no franchise showed any kind of interest in Pakistan players, Pakistani players and whole nation has hurt by this attitude of India.

Young and exciting talent of Pakistan in the shape of Umar Akmal and Mohammad Aamer were also in the auction list but non-selection of these exciting players including BOOM BOOM has really showed that India is now imposing politics on cricket.

Pakistani government cleared these players especially for IPL but seems to be there is someone who doesn’t want Pakistan to play cricket and this was very cleared on Tuesday.  Players and officials are filled with anger on this attitude of IPL to Pakistani cricketers.

Shahid Afridi, captain of the champion T20 team was expected to get a high bid because of his recent performance in T20 internationals but he also was very upset over IPL franchises decision of not to picking him. “The way I see it, the IPL and India have made fun of us and our country," he said. "We are the Twenty20 world champions and for me the attitude of the franchises was disappointing. I feel bad for the Indian people who, I am sure, wanted to see us play in the IPL this year."

Chairman PCB, Ijaz but doesn’t seems to be hurt too much by this as he said "It really does not bother us; what difference does it make to us if our players don't play in the IPL this season? They didn't play in the last season as well”.

Sohail Tanvir who was the leading wicket taker in the only played addition of IPL by the Pakistanis is also very disappointing because it was expected that Sohail will

be the Rajasthan Royals 1st choice, Shane Warne also like him in the team but team owners said that we are looking for the batsmen not the bowler.

“Tanvir Said. “They mean to say none of our players are good enough to be in the IPL. I am sorry to say the franchises have taken a decision not based on cricketing sense but on political grounds which is a shame and has hurt the image of the sport."

Not only the players and officials, but the whole nation is also very hurt by this attitude of IPL franchises because they also want to see their starts battling against the world’s top players but seems like politics is taking over in the cricket field as well. Since the Mumbai attacks in November 2008 the cricket has been suspended between these art rivals but no Pakistani players are effecting on the international scene is well.
