Australia completes their 4th Test clean-seep against Pakistan on the final day at Hobart. Pakistani batting as usual fails again to produce some kind of effort except Khurram Manzoor who tried to tackle the Aussies with his fighting half-century but it was not enough for them to save the Match.
Australia starts their beautiful day with the wicket of Shoaib Malik who was caught behind on the bowling of Siddle, he just managed to make 1 run on the final day. Sarfraz Ahmad ends up his debut with a disappointing batting display by getting out in the slips courtesy of beautiful and amazing catch by Michael Clarke on 5.
This was all required that day, Australians rape up the Pakistani innings in a flash by getting rid of the entire tale Enders who failed to produce the magic like 1st innings. The only concern in that innings for Australia came with the partnership of 66 between Manzoor and Aamer who tried their best to stay at the crease but it was Aamer who loss his patience and got out.
Khurram Manzoor was the only man in that innings who looked like he wants to fight with the Australians bowlers but even his effort wasn’t enough when he got out on 77 trying to cut the off-spinner but only managed a edge.
I'm willing to take advice on captaincy - Yousuf
Australia v Pakistan, 3rd Test, Hobart, 5th day
Australia 8 for 519 dec and 5 for 219 dec beat Pakistan 301 and 206 (Manzoor 77, Siddle 3-25, Hauritz 3-30) by 231 runs
Nathan Hauritz ends his wonderful series on 3 for 30 and on the top of the leading wicket takers in the series with 18 wickets with the average of 23.05, Siddle who looked off-color in whole series also managed to pull three wickets for 25.
During whole series Austrian players looked like they are on a mission, on a mission to win and this was lacking in the Pakistani outfit. Mostly players were not performing to the task including the captain. Fielding was awful, captaincy was very defensive who let the Aussies getting on top of them, bowling was reasonably good at times but the main reason for their downfall is their fielding, if they hold on to their catches the tour could have been better for them but now they have to really work hard on their fielding if they want to make the remaining tour more enjoyable.
Now they have to wait for the England tour where they will play 2 Tests against Australia and redeem the loss pride. This tour is a great learning experience as well for some youngsters like Mohammad Aamer and Umar Akmal who are just making their mark in international cricket and hopefully will get better and better with time and experience.
Overall analysis shows that fielding is the major part in their 3-0 loss effort and now they have to improve this department for the remaining and future tours.
