Kamran Akmal has denied the possibility of playing the Hobart Test as a batsmen alone, also said that he is confident that he will play the 3rd test. Kamran position in the team is really a challenge for every one to keep him with the team after a disaster 2nd Test at Sydney where he dropped 4 catches including 3 of Hussey who score a big Hundred on that day to secure victory for Australia.
After Kamran's performance in the 2nd Test PCS emidietly decided to send Sarfraz Ahmad to Australia as a replacement of Kamran Akmal in the 3rd Test but it seems like Pakistan vice captain is confident to play in 3rd Test as a wicket-keeper batsman depending on the selection committee and team meeting.
"I am very happy with being wicketkeeper-batsman, not only batsman," Akmal said. "I have played for Pakistan as a wicketkeeper-batsman with pride, so hopefully I am playing a similar role."
"Definitely, I'm very keen I am playing in this Test match but it depends on the captain and coach and management," Akmal said. "I've worked very hard in the nets. I'm still positive and hopefully I will play well here. They will tell me or not in the next few days if I am playing."

Akmal has a vote of captain, coach and team manager for the inclusion in final XI for the Hobart Test but this will be a tough for him to make it to the final team. Yousuf always backs Akmal and definitely wants to carry on with him but Akmal performance is not helping him so this will be a tough decision to play him in Hobart Test.
"Nothing is on my mind as a batsman. I am playing as a wicketkeeper-batsman. Before the match there is a selection meeting and I will decide with the coach and captain if I'm playing or not."
